What I'm making this week

Sometimes the hardest part of cooking is deciding what to cook. Here I'm sharing what I'm cooking and eating in hopes it makes deciding what to make for dinner a bit easier for you.

Favorite Things

Homemade Pasta. For the last few months, I've been deep in a homemade pasta phase. There's something so grounding about turning flour and eggs into silky ribbons of pasta! If you're interested in making your own pasta, I highly recommend Meryl Feinstein's cookbook Pasta Every Day-- it's become my pasta making bible.

Aioli. I've also been making aioli on repeat- it's shockingly easy to make and makes everything taste fancier. My current favorite pairing? Boiled baby potatoes, generously salted and perfect for dipping. I have a feeling there will be plenty of aioli platters with fresh summer veggies in my future.

Ice Cream. May is my birthday month and I decided to treat myself this year by making a different flavor of ice cream each week! I started off the month strong with a chocolate hazelnut gelato and next up I'm making roasted banana ice cream (both recipes from David Lebovitz's The Perfect Scoop). I know my favorite chocolate covered strawberry inspired ice cream will also make an appearance later this month!
