May Cravings

May Cravings

Edible Flowers. Red Buds and Wild Violets have started off my summer dreams of edible flowers as a part of every meal! This year I'm filling my garden with edible flowers- bachelor buttons, borage, nasturtiums, and more!

Granola. I couldn't tell you the last time I made granola, but all of a sudden I'm on a granola kick! I forgot how good it smells as its finishing up in the oven. This batch was oats, buckwheat groats, pecans, and coconut flakes mixed together with maple syrup and coconut oil.

Rhubarb. I'm loving rhubarb two ways right now: raw macerated with sugar added on top of salads or yogurt and roasted in the oven to make a hands-off jam, then smeared onto bread or mixed into oatmeal. The rhubarb ginger crumb bars from the blog archives is another of my favorite rhubarb recipes.

Matcha. I got an intense craving for matcha this month, despite never having it before. I've been making matcha tea, matcha smoothies, matcha lates, iced matcha. I have so many recipes saved and bookmarked to making matcha baked goods. You could say I'm full on obsessed at this point.
